Our visitor mine is located in the Vogtland, a historically connected region. It consists mainly of parts of Saxony and Thuringia and extends in the south to Bavaria and Bohemia (Czech Republic). The mine area belongs to the village of Rotschau and is located south of the city of Reichenbach in the local area of Muehlwand.

By bus
1. With the Plus-Bus line 80 (Treuen - Mylau - Reichenbach - Rotschau),
it runs every hour on weekdays and every two hours on weekends.

Arrive by a car
It is only a few kilometers from the A 72, exit Reichenbach or Treuen. Give attention to the tourist information signs 'Alaunwerk'. You can use the Google route planner for a detailed route plan by clicking on 'Größere Karte ...'. You can also select the English language there.
